It's only going to be a short review from me this week.
This episode marked the end of an era - Chrissie Williams left Holby General!! The episode started with Chrissie walking along a corridor with a patient - Eve - and they were discussing marriage as Eve was sure her boyfriend - Adam - was going to propose later that day. About 10 mins later (in the episode it was the following day) Eve is bought into AAU after having acid thrown in her face (kudos to the make up team for the burns make up; looked very realistic). Dr T got a little bit of action both on the ward with Eve and then again in theatre assisting Michael; we then didn't see him again until Eve is on the roof - he comes running out to see what's going on. All the while you've got Chrissie's voiceover reading aloud the letter she has written Michael telling him goodbye.
Over on Darwin, you had a lot of flirtation going on between Mr T and Mo - the writers really need to get them together, they are trying though as all the time we see them, Mr T is trying (though not very hard it must be said) to tell Mo that they're meant to be together!! They were the light relief in this episode.
On Keller, Digby is still trying to get over Chantelle leaving as well as having Malick forcing him to perform surgery he's clearly not ready (or in the right frame of mind) for. Malick is clearly not coping with his injury and yet no-one has picked up on this (although Digby does say to Jake that Malick is heading for a nervous breakdown).
And that's it!! It was a lovely episode writing Chrissie out; and such a lovely touch that the writers gave her past colleagues ID badges (though I, like many others, said that the wall she created with them was a blatant rip off from ER). I particularly liked the touch of having Chrissie pull out Sandy's ID badge (the actress who played Sandy passed away during filming - you can find the details on Wikipedia), a lovely tribute to an actress lost before her time.
So what did you think of it? Let us know your thoughts below......
