So, not much to say about this week's episode other than we said goodbye to the lovely Chantelle (and on the lovely Arthur's birthday too )
One of the reasons for her choosing to leave was down to Cameron appearing on the ward after he had gotten into a fight in the young offenders institute that he is currently residing in. Now if you've been watching the series over the last few months (and if not, where have you been ?!) you'll know that Cameron is the young lad who attacked Chantelle and Arthur in the hospital car park. So, at first, Chantelle and Digby weren't meant to have anything to do with Cameron (which considering their history was a good call) but as in all good programs, something happened which meant they ended up in his room, treating him. That something was Malick going off for physiotherapy and Cameron having a nightmare, just as Chantelle walked past his room. So, hearing him cry out, she went in, saw he had had an accident, and cleaned him up. Digby spotted her as she put the dirty washing in the laundry and they started to have a discussion when they both had to go back into the room.
And, because Digby isn't so forgiving of Cameron and what he put him through, he forgot to order a certain scan to be carried out; to cut a long story short (and partly because I can't remember what happened), Cameron ended up in theatre with Serena performing the surgery, along with Digby and Chantelle helping. When Cameron came round from the surgery he apologised to Chantelle for what he put her through; then he promptly went and died!!
On Darwin, poor old Mo was having a tough a time of it; firstly she had a patient arrive who needed his piggy back heart to be removed. Nothing out of the ordinary there you might think, except for the fact the the patient is deaf and his little girl was his interpreter. It soon transpired that the not only had the little girl lied to her dad and Mo about the operation, she had also been giving her dad more medication than what he needed in order to get him to the hospital. But all's well end's well and the operation was a success. Whilst dealing with the deaf patient, Mo also had her 'friend' appear on the ward after suffering with heart trouble. After looking at his file, she soon found out that he had neglected to inform her of some life changing illnesses that he could have and that he may have passed some infection onto her; this made her upset and very angry, understandably so, whilst making her realise that she needed to make some changes to her life - fingers crossed the writers put her and Mr T together!!!
And in AAU, there was no Harry but we did have some very not so subtle flirting going on between Michael and Chrissie; the latter was in need of cheering up after receiving divorce papers from Sasha; and boy did Michael do that!!! (And if you haven't seen this week's episode, then you need to get watching to find out just exactly what I mean!!)
The episode ended with Mary Claire dragging Digby off to Albie's for his birthday party. No sooner had he walked through the door, than Mary Claire, was singing the tune 'Arthur's Them' (aka if you get caught between the moon and New York city) accompanied by a bunch of people playing the kazoo - and yes, one of those people was a certain Dr T - who knew he could play the kazoo, a doctor of many talents!!!
And then came Arthur's heartbreak; the scene where Chantelle told him she loved him 'but not like that' and then got on the bus was poignant. And that's were we left it, Chantelle going off on the night bus and Arthur heading back into Albies.
Now you guys should know what to do by now, so let's see what you have to say......
