Well another episode that lacked that certain something - oh yes, not much Dr T - but it was still a good episode.
It's award ceremony day and Digby starts his day off by practicing his acceptance speech; Hanssen on the other hand is waiting for news on the birth of his grandchild after being told by Maja that there was a problem. This news meant that Hanssen wasn't his usual self and couldn't apply his full concentration to his work. This resulted in him taking his frustrations out on Chantelle after she, accidentally, lets a pregnant patient think that she would be able to take antibiotics to help her appendicitis pain; then when Chantelle took a call from Maja and then proceeded to congratulate him on the birth of his grandson, he threatened her with disciplinary action. His attitude softened somewhat though after seeing the pregnant patient give birth; he found Chantelle in the NICU ward and was about to apologise to her when Digby came in all suited and booted ready to ask her to the awards ceremony (Zosia pulled out); the fact Hanssen isn't able to publicly apologise to Chantelle is something I think he is going to regret...
Over on AAU, Sacha was surprised when Tim (wonderfully played by Paul O'Grady), the cancer patient who befriended Chrissie, arrives on the ward after suffering a fall. It turns out, Tim has lied to Chrissie about getting the all clear; he has actually stopped his chemo treatment and is now in his final hours. One part about this final part of Tim's storyline is that he asks Sacha not to tell Chrissie that he is there, yet when Sacha goes to collect her from her radiotherapy session, he tells her exactly that. Surely that is a breach of confidentiality? Anyway, back to the episode; Chrissie had to go and see Tim to say her goodbyes but at first he refused to see her, angrily telling her to get out of his room. When it came to Tim's final hours, however, he relented and let her in; this allowed them to say goodbye to each other before he quietly passed away with not a dry eye in the house.
So what did you think? Did you see the ending coming? Let us know below.....
