This week's episode didn't feature Dr T much, though he did make the most of what was given to him. Instead, this week focused mainly on Jac and Jonny and the future of their unborn child which lead to quite an emotional filled installment.
This week was the week Jac had her 20 week scan; she was her usual 'witty' self to the rather handsome Mr T until he turned the screen away from her. That was when she found out her baby has a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) with only a 50% chance of survival. In public Jac was her usual self but in the privacy of her office (and at one point, the ladies loo) her facade fades and she allows herself to feel emotion. At one point she is seen shedding a tear and saying a prayer for her unborn child (who she finds out is a little girl whilst attending a meeting with Mr T, Jonny and some of Mr T's staff). Poor old Jonny tries to help her but ends up saying the wrong thing. Jac distances herself from him and leaves the hospital with the weight of the world on her shoulders as she struggles to cope with the diagnosis and the hard decisions she is faced with.
Over on Keller ward, we saw the arrival of a new female doctor who immediately got her claws into poor old Digby. He has been nominated for doctor of the year and had invited Chantelle as his plus one; however, in a sign of things to come, Dr March invited herself along as Digby's plus one leaving him to let Chantelle down. She put a brave face on it when he told her, but as soon as his back was turned, you could see the disappointment; you can tell that deep down she has feelings for Digby but she's yet to admit them to herself.
On AAU, Mary-Claire was caught by Serena arriving late for her shift and then she finds out she's down to work weekends (which doesn't go down to well with her). Edward tells her to try and get in on Ric's new team which will allow her to get her weekends back. Then before you know it, the perfect candidate arrives on the ward; a tramp who has been beaten up and who requires an operation. Mary Claire joins Ric, Edward and Harry in theatre and ends up impressing Ric, much to the chagrin of Harry. After a slight hiccup in theatre, Mary Claire decides she doesn't actually want to be part of the team anymore but when she goes to tell Ric, he tells her in no uncertain terms that she will be a member whether she likes it or not (he also told her to stop making eyes at Harry too!!)
So what did you think? Why not let us know below......
