This week's episode dealt with death but of the animal variety. Poor old Doctor Hope lost Sampson, his beloved dog and all because of his girlfriends carelessness whilst moving her car that she had parked in the space 'reserved' for Serena. However, it turns out that she 'only' broke the dogs leg but it was whilst the vet was operating on that that he found the dog was riddled with cancer. Poor Elliot had to make the heartbreaking decision to put Sampson out of his misery and let the vet give Sampson a lethal injection.
Meanwhile, on the wards of Holby....
Chantelle continued to look after the amnesic patient whose identity was revealed and all hell broke loose; Arthur got jealous of all the time Chantelle was spending with said patient and tried to get him committed to the psychiatric ward, a decision that would later result in Arthur receiving a very stern telling off from Dr Hanssen.
We also found out that the new kid on the block, Edward, was once married to the formidable Serena, who Harry thought was a lesbian. It was good to see the dynamic between Edward and Serena and it will be interesting to see how the relationship between them develops and the reasons behind their split. There wasn't much of Harry in this week's episode but Jules certainly made the most of the scenes he was in, plus he seemed to get all the good/funny lines!
Well, that's me done for another week; what are your thoughts on the episode. You know what to do......
